I was sooo nervous haha. My voice is shaking and my pronunciation sucks. Oh well I still have 4 months left to practice that. Because actually today is my 7 month mark in Taiwan!

打靶,軍用機場&中文發表
Hallo!
Finally there has been some happenings going on. So yea the next post didn't end up being about my host family haha.
Like I mentioned in the end of the last post I went out with my host mom and dad last weeks monday. We drove to Danshui and up to mountain to see cherry flowers. Unfortunately there was no cherry flowers hahaha! We still visited in two temples.
After that we drove to another temple haha, it was big and the view was amazing. That photo sucks because I took it with my cellphone haha.
We drove to Keelung night market to eat. Yum. ate so much stuff haha. I liked chicken the best! And watermelon juice! Even if it makes you want to go to toilet right away hahah!
That tuesday was rainy so we didn't go out with my classmates :< instead I went shopping to Taipei main underground market. Yaya. Finally bought a calendar.
Friday was fun! We went to shooting range and military airport. The shooting thing was scary. It was loud and we had to wear funny helmets. (These photos are mostly taken by Gillian and my classmates)
And then the airport. We had some weird museum visit and then we just hang out there and waited for a plane to take off. In the end the plane didn't leave.. But we had fun with classmates haha!
On saturday morning I had Rotary photo shoot thing. It was umm interesting. It was some wedding photo shoot salon haha. After that I went to Maokong with my host mom and Leticia, Cecilia and Marco exchange students from Yuli. I didn't take any photos cos I've already been there twice. Others went to Ximen after that and I went to eat dinner with our host families haha.
Sunday we had our feared chinese speeches. Waa I was the first one to keep mine. Scary.
This week has been slow and kinda boring. Aoi is sick so she has been absent the whole week. Hope she gets better soon! I don't have any plans for the weekend :< but tomorrow I'm going for a dinner to my old host family yay.

大家好我是周茉，不是你想的週末，而是周公的 “周” 茉莉花的 “茉”。我來自芬蘭。我的芬蘭名字是Laura。
台灣是個很棒，而且很美麗的國家。我覺得我很幸運，能夠體驗到險峻的山峰和神秘的寺廟。我一直很幸運，能夠去台灣很多地方。我看過了墾丁的海灘和花蓮山裡的風景。我還看了日落以及平溪的天燈。然而，還有許多地方我很想去但我還沒去。
住在台灣跟在家鄉是如此不同。上學時間更長，這裡的交通太可怕了，到處都很擁擠。文化跟我以往已經習慣的完全不一樣。我利用好奇心和開放的態度學習，出乎意料地，適應這裡的生活相當容易。
我很開心在這裡的半年學習到了中文。一開始，一切都令我困惑，所有的字聽起來都一樣，不過現在我可以聽得懂了，至於說還是很難。好笑的是，有時人們會討論有關我的事，但他們卻不知道其實我聽得懂。
我的個性很害羞，所以結交新朋友不容易。例如我很喜歡我的同學，他們人很好，我希望可以花更多的時間跟他們在一起，剛開始，我至不知道要怎麼去問同學，假日有沒有活動？然而這個情況有慢慢變好，我也努力嘗試和同學多接觸，而 我也穫得更多的友誼和自信，我覺得很開心。
啊，還有我最喜歡的。。。食物。一切都很便宜以及容易買到，我住的街上到處都是美食，而我最喜歡的就是煎餃，我很喜灣能夠跟朋友去夜市然後一直吃東西，然後一個禮拜你可以看到我拿著珍珠奶茶至少一次。
我很喜歡每天早上，上學時站在公車站牌，微笑面對每個人的感覺。在這裡我感受到家的感覺，我想這裡就是現在我想待的地方。我很開心，雖然偶爾還是會想念芬蘭的家以及我的狗。至於我以後會不會屬於這裡呢？等著看吧，以後的事又有誰知道？~~

明德高中aka Mingder aka The school of marshmallows
Do you want to look like a giant marshmallow? Then this is your must choose high school!
Okaay so I haven't really introduced my dear school to you, have I ? Yeah that's what I thought. So here. This post is dedicated to the school of marshmallows.
Let's start with the official name. 新北市立明德高級中學. But we call it just mingder because it's so much easier and more convenient than thiiis...
In our school we have junior high school and senior high school and also a kindergarten. In our senior high school side we have three buildings and gym. And basketball court and running track. The school building is nowhere near finnish school buildings. We don't walk in from the doors and that, we just walk in and up the stairs and then we go in to classroom. So we are like "outside" all the time.
This is the library building. Our chinese classroom is here. And we spent most of our days in there doing nothing...
This cat lived at our school earlier but now I haven't seen it for a while :(
The school uniform! Prettyyy neh? The knee high socks are must and black or white shoes. No make up or hair accessories. No jewellery. No rolling up..pants? (umm I don't know english word for "lahje" haha) We have a scary military teacher who sometimes checks that we are following the rules. Our sport uniform has purple pants and grey shirt. The winter shirt is purple and when wearing it everybody looks like they're wearing pyjamas :DD Oh and I gave our school that marshmallow name because we have white puffy coats and we look exactly like marshmallows with them on! We also have school bags that keep annoying squeak sound and it has our schools name on it.
School lunch. It's free for us exchange student but others have to pay for it. Everyday rice, green vegetable thing and maybe tofu and chicken or fish. Often deep fried. And also a fruit everyday! And soup!
This is how I go to school and back home. Schoolbus! haha. On friday that whole road is full of busses. It's crazy. But we need alotof busses because there's so many students haha. And during the week some of them live in the dormitory or something.
I'm going to write a schedule of my normal school day.
5:45 Wake up! have to catch a school bus at 6:20!
7:00 Breakfast at school. Mama always packs it for me.
7:30 It's time for self study in our own classrooms. This is also the time that school actually starts. Usually I don't have anything special to do.
8:00 Starts the first class. If I don't have a class I go back to library to sleep.
8:00-11:50 There's four classes in the morning. We often have our chinese class at some point and we might have some other classes too. Or we just do homework or watch movies or sleep.
11:50 Lunch! Yay! We go to our classrooms to eat. ( the other students have 12:20 the cleaning time, when they clean up the whole classroom. And 12:40 is NAP TIME! everybody sleeps for half hour haha!)
13:10-17:00 The afternoon classes. Blah we do the same things as we do in the morning haha. Usually homeworks so that we wouldn't have to do them at home.
17:00 School ends yaay goo hooome! My school bus takes very long time and I'm home usually at 18:10 That doesn't leave much time to do anything in the evening bhah.
The classes that I go with my classmates are english, art, music, sports and some weird class where we learn sewing at the moment haha. Sometimes I go to other classes like I've been to a math class and physics. And oh yeah I have korean class every monday morning! And every second friday we have club time which means that everyone has a club they've joined and they do stuff they want. I'm currently in the movie watching club but we are allowed to change if we want. The other clubs we have are dancing, skateboarding, calligraphy, different kinds of music clubs, kendo, cheerleading and other stuff. I don't even know them all.
In our school there's also a convenience store! They sell noodles, bread, snacks, candy and lot's of different drinks. I always buy chocolate milk and fake oreos.
All these papers(it's very old photo there's a lot more by now haha!) is all the chinese we have learnt. In three months. We usually nowadays get something like 15-20 pages of homework. Earlier it was possible to get 40 pages. Crazy?
We also do this "copying" thing. We take a book that has bopomofo(those tiny symbols next to character, they tell us how to pronounce the word) and write it dow to our notebook. I've written already three children's books and now I'm writing Totoro! ♥ It's boring but it helps me to remember the characters. It's funny how I know the characters and pronounciations but I have no idea what it means haha.
And these lovely papers are my score lists! Haha. A+ A+ A+ A+ :P

中秋節 !
Moon festival was nice! BUT I DIDN'T GET TO EAT ANY MOON CAKES? ;___;
So in Taiwan they celebrated moon festival this weekend. It's a tradition that everybody does barbeque. It was funny when we drove around in Sanxia everyone had gathered around with family or friends to do bbq. It's very different here than in Finland. And ONLY once a year at this time!
On saturday I had babeque party at my friend Nash's place and yees I had fun. AND YES I'M STILL SHY. But it's getting better huh?
These photos are very good quality btw. I know how to use my new lovely camera.
On sunday we went to Daxi and I have no idea where else haha but there was really nice views. And on the evening we had family bbq at my mama's brother.
The actual moon festival was on monday but guess what i did the whole day. HOMEWORK. For seven hours. 43 pages. I almost died. Just kidding of course I love my chinese homework and for sure I remember every single character I wrote ♥
And just to show you this is the pile what we have studied in two weeks.
And my text books! I have THREE of them wow. The pink one is for korean classes and blue for chinese. Purple is music book! There's Sibelius haha!

I hate packing
I finally finished my project on last sunday. Am I slow or what? But this is how the results looks. There's these paper notes even in the bathroom.
I'm still waiting for my insurance policy to come from Taiwan and e-mail from my host club. I haven't been able to make contact with them. But at least they know my flights now.
9 days left.

My project
Okay I have been doing something more 'important' too. I think that every student going to D3490 got an e-mail during this week. There were some papers that needed to be signed and filled. I'm proud of myself because I got them done so quickly (~￣▽￣)~
Yesterday I also was at the meeting of my sponsoring Rotary club.
3 weeks left and I have almost everything done. I only have to exchange money and check all the papers and then yay I'm ready to go!
