First days in Taiwan

Helloo!

Right now it's my third day in Taiwan. I'm alone at home so I have time to finish this post! The first two days have been amazing! I'm in love with Taiwan and taiwanese people.

My flight from Helsinki to Hong Kong was an hour late and I sat alone haha! I was afraid I'd have to sit beside someone annoying but I got to sit alone which was awesome. The fligths were okayy and I wasn't even so tired when we arrived to Taiwan. On the airport there was lot of people waiting for us. It wasn't difficult to find my own host family and rotarians. I don't have those photos so maybe I add them later.

I was really hungry so we went to eat sushi with my two meimei's and papa. I've never before eaten sushi in a place where the plates go around and you have to pick what you want to eat from the line. Then we waited for three brazilian students to come.

We went to eat seafood! It was good and interesting I guess haha. I tasted almost everything! : D

I'm the only one not looking to camera haha. And yees I'm so much taller than others it's awkward haha.

We drove home and yes Taiwan is so different from Finland. It feels bad to say but I think Taiwan is somehow much dirtier? And there is a lot of homeless dogs. But the mountains are so beautiful! On the evening we went to eat in Subway and we took MRT. And yes I went to sleep at 9pm : D I'm going to write about my home later when I have photos of it!

The next day I woke up at 5am because it's just so hot seriously haha. In Finland it's 15degrees and here it's over 30! The breakfast was nice. Taiwanese bread and soup. And of course milk : D After there was some guests here we went to sanxia to see my school! It's huge.

Taipei 101. We didn't go up because it was little cloudy and rainy.

We drove to Taipei Zoo and took Maokong Gondola up to the mountain. It was so beautiful!

We ate stinky tofu and something else but I don't remember the name.
And Pearl Milk Tea!

Tea. It's better than in Finland haha! Papa teached how to make tea in the right way.

Then we ate some noodles and rice and when we left down with the gondola it was already dark so we saw the perfect nightview of Taipei. So much lights. We drove home and because we didn't eat already enough papa went to get something from McDonalds while mama visited market.

And one thing that I don't like so much is traffic. It's crazy haha. There's scooters everywhere and it's just chaotic : D

I think that school starts next week and on the weekend we have a rotary trip!

Byebye!

  1. I'm glad you aren't freaked out by the unusual looking Chinese foods. I wish I could be an exchange person or something to Taiwan T___T how do you communicate with the family, they seem really nice.:)
