Guarantee form!

Yaay! I got my guarantee forms today! Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I'm very excited now. In the yellow book there were info about basic stuff like money and visa application. Visa application looks kinda complicated as you can see below.

I got information about the trips too! There is going to be "The Seven-Day Taiwan Experience Tour" haha. Sounds interesting. And now I don't even need to print the first night questions as they were in there too ∩_∩

Now I'm waiting for the flight infomation and my depature date will be 19th or 20th of august! I have to make sure I have all the papers needed for the visa application and umm what else? There's a lot of stuff to do.

Cya! ~~

Package from Taiwan!

My host sister Cindy (she's coming to Finland on august as an exchange student) sent me a package! Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is what was in it. There was also a letter.

Two books for studying chinese. I looked through them quickly and both of them looked really good Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There was a book about Chinese zodiac animals. Discover Taipei magazine and booklet about events in Taiwan.

Some cookie/candy thingys ? I didn't open them yet so I'm not sure what they are ≧ω≦

And a top with aboriginal design! It's really nice ^^

I still haven't got my guarantee form but I hope I'll get it soon so I can apply for my visa. Oh and my Rotary blazer came last week I'll post a photo of it soon!

Chinese studies

It's been a while huh! I'm still waiting for my guarantee forms (not so patiently anymore Image and video hosting by TinyPic) and I decided to do a post about my chinese studies.

I started studying chinese last september and during that time I didn't know that I'd be going to Taiwan. I started studying just for fun and to see if it really is the hardest language in the world like everyone says ≧ω≦ And yes now I can tell you it probably is haha! The four tones are hard to learn and in the beginning I couldn't recognise the sounds for different letters so well. And I probably don't even need to mention the number of the characters? Over 106,000 u_u"

This is my chinese course book and the first 6 charcters I learned. In my class we studied the simplified characters so I had to do some research on my own to find the traditional characters.

My current character book! (~ ̄▽ ̄)~ I love this haha.

There's both the simplified and traditional characters. And there's some example sentences and some exercises too.

My visual dictionary. Too bad it's only in pinyin and simplified characters >.<

And not related to studying but my chinese teacher gave me these Travel in Taiwan magazines. There's lot of beautiful photos and information ^^
